Fairview Pediatric Therapy is currently hiring a part-time Physical Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete assessments of clients using formal and informal tools to identify strengths and areas for improvement
Create and implement treatment plans for clients that encourage independence and functional outcomes
Provide treatment through the therapeutic use of activities addressing skills such as coordination, balance, strength, motor planning, etc.
Provide guidance, education, consultation to the clients, their caregivers and other professionals to optimize outcomes and carryover
Attend regularly scheduled team meetings to discuss policies and operational guidelines, caseload management, opportunities for improvement, and ideas for future services
Partner with the other members of the Fairview Pediatric Therapy team to customize a treatment plan, coordinate services, implement best practices, provide consistency to clients and ensure the best possible outcome.
Document all treatments in an accurate, confidential and timely manner within the electronic system or other approved format.
Qualifications
Required: Must be in compliance with federal, state and local requirements specifically,
Must have completed a Master’s or Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from an accredited college or university and be certified by the National Board of Certification.
Must hold a current Tennessee License through the Tennessee State Board.
Must have or be willing to obtain current CPR and first aid certification (Heartsaver First Aid and CPR or Basic Life Support)
Pediatric experience
Abilities and Skills:
Professional oral and written communication and excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients and coworkers.
Ability to meet the needs of a varied client population therapeutically and sensitively.
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and prioritization aptitude
Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations, as well, as to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters
Physical demands require therapists to continually walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
